Board corners and edges are rubbed and worn through. Spine ends are frayed. Cracked hinge. Endpapers are oxidized and chipped at outer edge. Water mark along lower margins of text and illustration pages. Text and illustrations are unaffected. W.T. Smedley was one of the most prominent illustrators of his time and he had a long and happy relationship with Harper & Brothers, publishers. Illustrated. Nice tight binding.
