8VO, 243 pgs., Hardcover Hardcover: One volume with all 4 books and commentary on the books all bound in one. Previous owners name and date (1791) on top edge of first endpaper. Brown leather binding is worn and chipped, soiled and frayed. Hinges have wear marks. Title in gold boxed in red on spine between raised leather bands, gold decorated spine. Paste-downs and endpapers and pages are foxed. This poem on gardens and nature was written in Blank verse, which at the time was growing out of favor. Nice tight binding.
