4TO, 288 pgs., B/W Illus, Hardcover Hardcover: Cracked hinge. Red/Rust-colored cloth boards with beautifull full color illustrated pastedown on frontboard. Light soil and rubbing to illustration. Rear board shows soil.Light shelfwear. Illustrated endpapersare oxidized. Pages and page edges are oxidized. Scarecrow saves Trot and Cap'n Bill from a dreadful fate. Nice tight binding. All illustrations are black and white which leads us to believe that this edition was published after 1935 when the publisher started printing OZ books without color illustrations.
